Olympic Games – Oh, they didn’t tell you?
How the Greeks worshipped Zeus
The cauldron is an altar, and the fire from the torch is the presence of the deity of the Sun.
A torch is lit from the rays of the Sun (Zeus) and carried to the site of worship to light the altar fire.
On Mt. Olympus, a torch is lit by the high priestess from a parabolic solar furnace.
Archimedes used the same principle using polished shields against the Roman ships.
The pope stands idly by as the pagan worship continues unabated. Pastors are silent as well.
